Christine Wardell is a recent graduate from McMaster University. She previously studied vascular disease under the supervision of Dr. Alison Fox-Robichaud and Dr. Kathryn Howe, where she helped develop a biobank for abdominal aortic aneurysm tissue. For her undergraduate thesis, Christine studied the role of endothelial permeability in atherosclerosis by analyzing the microRNA collected from an in vitro model. For her NSERC USRA here at Mediphage, Christine is working to optimize production and purification of DNA ministrings by improving Tel protelomerase expression and activity.
